How Team Reviews Work on Teemzo

September 2, 2026

If you run a small team, you should be able to see the setup before you make an account.

This is the actual team-review path in Teemzo: what you type, what you click, and what happens before anyone on your team gets an email. Nothing below is a mock. It is the live product, stopped before payment.

If you only need one person reviewed, there is a shorter path: How a Single Review Works on Teemzo.

What you get, in one sentence

You add your people once, choose who is being reviewed, assign a manager and peers for each of them, pay $49 per reviewee, and Teemzo emails everyone immediately after you pay.

Before you make an account

You can already see a finished example without signing up: a full sample review. That is the unedited first draft a manager would then edit and approve.

There is no guest mode for the roster builder. To set up a real cycle, you create an account.

Step 1: Create an account

Go to teemzo.com/sign-up. You can continue with Google, or use an email and password.

If you use email, Teemzo asks you to enter a 6-digit verification code sent to that inbox. After that, you land on a short welcome screen.

Step 2: Name the workspace

The first in-app screen is Welcome to Teemzo.

You type a Company or team name. Continue stays off until that field has text. Everyone you later invite to a review is added to this workspace automatically.

Then you are on the Reviews dashboard. It is empty the first time: No reviews yet. Two ways forward sit at the top:

  • New Review — $49 (one person)
  • Team Reviews (the path this post follows)

Step 3: Start a team review

Team Reviews has its own empty state: "Run reviews for your whole team in one go — add people once, we handle the rest."

New Team Review opens a four-step wizard:

  1. Roster
  2. Reviewees
  3. Peers
  4. Checkout

You can go back a step at any time. Nothing is sent in these steps.

1. Roster

"Add everyone who will participate — reviewees, managers, and peers. You'll choose roles in the next step."

Two ways to add people:

  • Enter manually — name and email rows, with + Add person
  • Paste from spreadsheet — each line is Name, Email or Name <email>, then Import

You are not assigning roles yet. You are just putting the team on the list.

2. Reviewees

"Select who is being reviewed and assign each a manager."

Check the people who should get a written review this cycle. You do not have to review everyone on the roster. The running total updates as you check boxes: 1 reviewee × $49 = $49 total, and so on.

Each checked person gets a Manager dropdown of the other people on the roster. You need at least one reviewee to continue.

3. Peers

"Choose who gives peer feedback for each person — ideally people who work with them closely. Each reviewee needs at least 1 peer."

You can pick peers yourself, or use Suggest peers for everyone without picks. Suggestions come from the rest of the roster. They show up as chips you can remove, including the manager if you do not want them in the peer set.

Up to four peers per person is the cap used elsewhere in Teemzo. You need at least one peer per reviewee to go on.

4. Checkout

This is the last screen before money.

  • Cycle name is prefilled, for example Team Review 9/2/2026. You can change it.
  • A table lists each reviewee, their manager, and their peers.
  • Note to participants is optional, 500 characters. Placeholder: "e.g. This review covers Q1–Q2. Focus on collaboration and impact."
  • A yellow box shows the math, like 1 review × $49 = $49 total, and says invites are sent immediately after payment.

The button is Pay $49 & Start Reviews. That is the stop line for this walkthrough. We did not pay, so we did not send any invites, and we did not open Stripe.

What happens at pay (from the copy on that screen)

Teemzo is explicit here, twice:

Invites are sent immediately after payment. Make sure everyone is expecting this.

And:

Tip: let your team know reviews are coming before you pay — invites send immediately.

So the operational advice is: tell your team first, then pay. People get a self-assessment invite, a manager notification, or a peer-feedback request depending on the role you assigned.

Peer responses go to the manager only. The person being reviewed does not see raw peer feedback or who said what. The manager writes, edits, and approves the review before it is shared. That is also how the sample review is labeled: an unedited first draft.

Pricing is $49 per person reviewed, no subscription. Your first review is refundable for 30 days, even after you have used it.

How long this actually takes

The marketing pages say "under 2 minutes," "5 minutes," and "ready in 24 hours" in different places. The honest version from using the product:

  • Account, workspace, and the four setup steps are a few minutes if you already have names and emails.
  • The 24 hours is about collecting responses and producing the written review, not about filling out the roster.

If you want the shorter version

Team Reviews is for a cycle: one roster, several reviewees, one checkout.

If you only need one person reviewed this week, use the single-review form instead. Same $49, fewer steps: How a Single Review Works on Teemzo.

Run a real review for $49.

Peer feedback, a self assessment, and a written manager review — no subscription, no HR platform. First review refundable for 30 days.
